Research

The Working Group from time to time undertakes small-scale research projects to inform its work. Its first project, was undertaken in 2003, was a survey of UK Higher Education mental health policies. The purpose was to investigate the scale and scope of provision to support students and staff who experience mental health difficulties. The results were published in 2006 by UUK as Mental Health Policies and Practices in UK Higher Education (2006): click on the link to download the full document [PDF].

A follow-up survey was undertaken in 2008 and a presentation outlining the results may be viewed here.
